About Lasso

LASSO makes its world debut in 2021, hosting the inaugural edition of the country music festival on a beautiful island in the middle of the mighty St. Lawrence river. Located just ten minutes away from downtown Montréal, the festival site overlooks the inspiring skyline of the one of the world’s most celebrated music cities in the world. Welcome to Montreal!

LASSO will be welcoming music fans from all over to our celebration of country music at one of the most prestigious festival sites on the globe! LASSO promises a state-of-the-art experience at evenko’s newly renovated site at Espace 67 of Parc Jean-Drapeau on beautiful Île Sainte-Hélène, with all the fixins that fans have come to expect from evenko’s world-famous festivals. Country music fans will revel in performances by their favourite artists playing on stages equipped with leading-edge sound and lights, while taking in exceptional views of the city in the background. Experience seekers will find incredible food and fun activities to discover at the festival, and of course the unrivalled shared experience of thousands of country fans gathering to enjoy their love for great live music!
The lineup will present a variety of country music, featuring international superstars like Luke Bryan, who sold out the Bell Centre in 2016, alongside local luminaries from the Canadian, Quebec, and Montréal country scenes. Fans will find more hot country than they can shake a stick at, with a lineup that draws from across the spectrum of country genres, bringing together cherished classics alongside everything shiny and new! There will be a big tent feel to the fest with an everyone-is-invited to the table philosophy. Everybody has some country fan in them, and LASSO is there to give people a chance to celebrate the country lifestyle while casting a vision of the future of where the country wave is heading.

Eat and drink

For the first edition, Lasso showcases a variety of different food vendors to suit all tastes. Our favorite food trucks, concession stands and catering services from the greater Montréal area will be located throughout the festival site, offering up a wide variety of dishes and local specialties, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.

At the YUL EAT Gardens, music lovers can enjoy signature dishes from 5 iconic Montréal restaurants. Each kiosk will be furnished like a small restaurant with a big terrace accessible to festival-goers who want to grab a bite with some friends, while comfortably seated.

Enhance your experience

We offer a custom concierge service as well as private suites to enhance your experience during the festival.

Sustainability

Sound for the environment

Over the years, evenko has implemented multiple sustainability initiatives to ensure that its operations are responsible. Beyond the artistic and cultural experience, LASSO wants to minimize the negative impact on the environment and maximize the positive influence it has on society and the economy. Here are some of the initiatives being worked on:
CARBON + TRANSPORT
Public Transit: The festival is only steps away from the metro Jean-Drapeau, making it extremely accessible via public transit.

Bike Valet: Self-service bicycle parking available on site.

Gas Generator Reduction: From 2017-2018, Parc Jean-Drapeau (our festival site) was renovated to better connect the grounds to the hydro-electricity power grid of Montréal. By transitioning to hydroelectricity, LASSO has been able to greatly reduce the number of gas generators used for energy.
FOOD + BEVERAGE
Reducing Single Use Plastic: Ban on plastic straws and water bottles. Festivalgoers are invited to bring a recyclable bottle of water to the festival. Water filling stations will be available all over the site.

Recycling Program: We have an on-site sorting centre to reduce waste contamination as much as possible.

Compositing Program: For the past three years, we have been piloting composting in our Artist World to see how if it could be scaled to be site wide. We want to ensure that we can successfully compost without contamination before expanding it to the rest of the site!
COMMUNITY + MORE
Festivalgoer Declaration: Let’s work together to be sustainable! In 2021, we will send out a declaration of actions for festivalgoers to follow. This includes respecting wildlife, properly disposing of waste, and more.

The festival would like to extend a special thank you to its partners in the sustainability: STM and RECYC-QUÉBEC.
